• The Book of Enoch – Finished - April 23rd, 2012

Uploaded final chapters 20 and 21.

And another one goes into the “finished” column. I had a lot of fun writing this story since it let me wander into an area I was reluctant to breach, that being the whole world of ‘demons’ and other spiritual ‘magic’. I have to admit that it was a stretch for me, and something I might not have attempted if not for the little bit ‘o truth. I’m speaking of course, about the text from the literal Book of Enoch. In case you were wondering, that book, and that text, are real. There really is a numerical discrepancy in the number of names mentioned.

I hope you have enjoyed the story as much as I have. Obviously, I left the ending open for a sequel, though it would be something of an entirely different flavor as this work. We’ll see. For now, I have too many other stories that are demanding my attention. Onward!

  • The Book of Enoch - March 25th, 2012

    Uploaded chapter 17

Sorry for the (really) long wait for an update. The good news is that this story is officially finished. I will be releasing the final chapters in a regular fashion… haven’t decided how quickly. I’d like to have something to carry things on for a bit while I work on other updates instead of dumping it all out at once. We’ll see.

  • The Book of Enoch – Possession - October 3rd, 2011

Beth’s possession from The Book of Enoch.

  • The Book of Enoch - September 11th, 2011

    Uploaded chapters 14, 15, and 16

This story just got a whole lot more complicated… I need to finish this before I move on again (probably back to AOD, but we’ll see). Enjoy!

  • The Book of Enoch - July 14th, 2011

    Uploaded chapter 13.

  • A Call for Editors - July 8th, 2011

After a number of people contacted me in a single week (separately), I think it’s time I considered letting people help edit some of my writing. The details are being worked out over on the discussion group, so drop on by and throw in your two cents if you have mad skills (or even a decent pair of eyes) and want to help.

  • The Book of Enoch - June 29th, 2011

Uploaded chapters 9-12. I’ve been sick the last four days with a horrendous chest/head cold. So, what better way to distract myself between coughing fits than to write! I’m not sure why I picked this one up, but I’m glad I did. I’m having a shitload of fun with this piece, and it really is writing itself. So Marjorie gets to hold on and just enjoy the ride. There’s a least one more chapter written that I haven’t put online yet… and I’m probably going to wait just a bit since I’m having a little trouble tracking the internal story time. I’m trying to avoid having to go back and edit, but the basic plot to the end is set and ready in my twisted little head.

Character Study - Miranda Summers (Revised)

I wasn’t happy with the coat and a few other minor details, so here is a repost.

  • Character Study – Miranda Summers - May 20th, 2011

    Character Study - Miranda Summers

Miranda Summers from the Tales From the Fae series. I’ve been wanting to do more character studies for a long while now, but this was a real challenge for me for some reason. The process was, as always, a wonderful learning experience, and I was able to work in several new techniques. Enjoy!

  • Rinowa’s Prison - April 29th, 2011

New Short! This  would make a great intro into a series. We’ll see. This is a pseudo “period piece”, and was actually very difficult for me to write because of the style and narrative I restricted myself to. Only two names are officially mentioned.

  • Tales From the Fae: Unseelie Summer - April 15th, 2011

    Added chapter 3.

“Book” two in the Academy series.

  • Tales From the Fae: Unseelie Summer - February 22nd, 2011

    And so it begins…

“Book” two in the Academy series.

  • Tales From the Fae – Part V: The Academy of Dana - January 2nd, 2011

    Uploaded chapters 45-52.

By the Goddess, I actually finished it… This update is a bit of a milestone for me. The Tales From the Fae is a project I started more than a decade ago, and it has occupied a massive amount of my creative thought time over the years. This part in particular, has been on my mind nearly every single day since I began it, and has undergone many twists and turns that surprised even me. At over 181,000 words, it literally qualifies as a medium sized novel, a fact I find also surprising since the whole thing feels very short in my mind. Perhaps it’s simply because I have been living in that world with my characters for so long. I hope you all have enjoyed this story as much as I have, and don’t worry, there is much much more to come. The Academy of Dana comprises what is officially known to me as ‘Book One’ of four. Oh my… I have so much to write.

  • Tales From the Fae – Part V: The Academy of Dana - August 12th, 2010

    Uploaded chapters 38-44.

  • TFTF Pinup – Petra Kosilov - August 12th, 2010

Petra Kosilov, leader of the Badb Catha (Battle Raven) doing a little cheesecake – all for a good cause.

Not in my usual style, but a whole lot of fun to make. Taking cues from my favorite comic artist, Adam Hughes (that guy is truly awesome).

  • Zombie Land - May 1st, 2010

New Short! Once again, this is a little dream-forged mini-story that builds out of several concepts used in other works. I borrowed the Var-Lish from Tara and gave a look at a possible future where they’re concerned. Post-apocalyptic in nature, this work really didn’t convey the feeling that I was trying to achieve (that which was in my dream) but is fun none the less.
